With the funds raised by you through Zaedno.bg "Face to Face" trained in communication skills and goals setting 22 children deprived of parent’s care aged between 15 and 18 in "St.Ivan Rilski" orphanage in Razliv village.
The aim of the two-day training was to train the children in communication skills, to give them knowledge about the children’s rights, to educate them how to work in a team and how to set goals as well as how to build a self-affirmative behaviour, protecting the personality and the rights of every young man in the society.
Strengthening the communication skills, acquiring of new communication techniques as well increasing the youths’ sensibility when they are in a role of "listeners" was the topic of the first training session. These communication skills will be extremely important even crucial for the successful integration of the youths in the society after they leave the orphanage.
The second session was devoted to development of teambuilding skills, skills for taking a group decision about a problem concerning the whole orphanage, as well as skills for a clear and logical defense of the taken by the whole group decision.
Skills for a goal setting and making a plan for the new year, as well as actualizing the children’s notions for life were the topics of the last session. Important part of that module was to educate the children what are their rights according to the Bulgarian and international legislation.
The training approach of "Face to Face" in their work with children is completely interactive. Through role plays and discussions in the last part of the training the children played simulations and individual practices for acquiring adequate skills that will help them in real-life situations. All questions that appeared during the training were thoroughly discussed with the aim the difficulties and responsibilities that the children will face after they leave the orphanage to be cleared up.
